Privacy Policy
Effective August 27, 2026
Verity Electrical Solutions Inc. (“Verity,” “we,” “us”) is responsible for personal information collected through this website and our Verity HQ customer relationship workspace. This policy explains our practices in plain language and is intended to reflect Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and applicable Canadian requirements.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the website, we may collect your name, email address, optional telephone number, property address, home characteristics, requested lighting areas, estimate and quote details, uploaded exterior photographs, communications, appointment information, consent choices, and technical records needed for security and reliable operation.
We also use municipal and other public property information—such as address, parcel, building outline, assessment classification, and approximate roof geometry—to prepare estimates. Public-source property information may be associated with the address you provide.
Why we use it
- To match an address, estimate roofline footage, and generate the estimate you request.
- To review photographs, prepare an official quote or lighting preview, contact you about your request, schedule work, and provide customer service.
- To maintain property, lead, quote, installation, and service records.
- To improve estimate assumptions using confirmed measurements and aggregated or de-identified results.
- To protect the website, prevent misuse, troubleshoot problems, and meet legal obligations.
- To send occasional offers or seasonal lighting ideas only when you separately opt in or when otherwise permitted by law.
Consent and communications
Submitting the estimate form authorizes quote-related communication needed to respond to your request. This is separate from promotional marketing. The marketing checkbox is optional and unchecked by default. You may withdraw marketing consent at any time by using the unsubscribe method in a message or contacting us. Withdrawing marketing consent does not prevent service or transactional messages about an estimate, appointment, installation, warranty, or existing customer relationship.
Service providers and processing outside Canada
We may use service providers for website hosting, databases, file storage, email, analytics, mapping, customer relationship management, scheduling, payments, and future automated image review. Providers receive only the information reasonably needed to perform their services and are expected to safeguard it. Some providers may store or process information outside Canada, where it can be subject to the laws and lawful access rules of that jurisdiction. Contact our Privacy Officer for information about our current service providers or policies regarding processing outside Canada.
Disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose it to Verity personnel and contractors who need it to prepare or deliver the requested service; to Celebright or an authorized warranty/service provider when reasonably required for product support; to contracted technology providers; as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards; or when required or permitted by law.
Retention and safeguards
We retain identifiable information only as long as reasonably required for estimates, sales follow-up, installations, warranties, accounting, dispute resolution, security, and legal obligations. Items moved to the application recycle bin are scheduled for permanent deletion after 60 days, but other business records may have longer lawful retention periods. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No internet system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and rights
Subject to PIPA and applicable exceptions, you may request access to your personal information, ask how it has been used or disclosed, request corrections, or withdraw consent for future optional uses. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may also decline optional photographs or a telephone number, although this can limit our ability to finalize a quote.
Cookies, campaign links, and measurement
We use necessary first-party cookies and local browser storage to operate forms, protect the website, and remember an opaque campaign-link touch so a later quote request can be attributed to the correct link and campaign. The customer-facing destination does not need to expose the campaign name. These necessary attribution records may include the link used, landing path, referring site origin, visit time, and a pseudonymous visitor identifier; they do not themselves contain a customer name, email address, telephone number, or street address.
Optional analytics or advertising technologies are controlled by CookieYes choices and are not required to submit a quote request. You can review or withdraw optional consent at any time using in the website footer. We may record non-identifying operational events such as form viewed, address started, step completed, and estimate revealed. We do not place names, addresses, emails, phone numbers, or uploaded photographs in those event names or properties.
Verity HQ accounts and operational email
Authorized administrators use Verity HQ to manage leads, properties, campaigns, tracking links, quotes, and related records. We process administrator names, login email addresses, authentication and security history, notification choices, and account-recovery activity to provide and protect those accounts. Account invitations, password resets, and optional new-lead alerts may be delivered through our contracted email provider. New-lead alerts are sent only to active administrators selected as recipients and use each selected administrator’s own login email address.
Contact our Privacy Officer
Questions, access or correction requests, and privacy concerns can be sent to Verity’s Privacy Officer at info@verityelectricalsolutions.com or 587-892-9032. If we cannot resolve a concern, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
Changes
We may update this policy as the estimate, photo, proposal, scheduling, payment, or integration features evolve. The effective date above identifies the current version.
